i would say efile. You will get the file number immediately as opposed to the mai taking a couple of days to travel and then getting processed into the system. Ultimately, there might be a difference of upto 7 days between case numbers. The earlier your case number, the more advanageous your position will be.

I went to Chennai and Hyderabad thru Dubai in last 2 years. I felt it was really nice. No transit visa stuff. Good veggie food, lot of entertainment and good service. A bit costly compared to other airlines. On overall good experience and no regrets for higher price
My experiences have been the best with Emirates and have always travelled Emirates. But the last time I travelled, I had a bad experience.
I travelled from JFK to Chennai in August, 2007 and my baggage did not come in the same flight. They had to trace the baggage and then both my bags arrived in 2 different days and I had to buy clothes, shoes, nightwear but Emirates reimbursed and gave me like $60 in cash for all expenses.
Apart from this, I have had pleasant experiences with Emirates and will continue to fly emirates.

I think we all should VOTE in this poll.
You will waste your time if you vote in Lou Dobbs polls. His pools are rigged. These polls start in the loo as they begin by giving 100,000 votes to his ideological point of view and 0 votes in support of the opposite view. Hence the disclaimer to the pools. I suggest that we simply ignore him and don't participate in his pool. It would be one less human being giving Lou Dobbs no value, making him inconsequential one person at a time.

I also got an RFE for photographs. Can I respond with Certified mail? Or should I use FedEx? Can you please tell me how did you send it?

I used priority USPS mail with delivery confirmation. The USPS service agent allayed my fears about delivery confirmation to PO BOX, he said they will scan the BAR CODE on the mail-envelope when they drop it in the PO BOX and it does not require any signature from any USCIS agent. He even said you can request for signature confirmation on PO BOX, I don't know how far he is right on that.
I mailed my photos with the Gold sheet which came along RFE, I mailed on Wednesday Nov 26th, 08, due to Thanksgiving Holiday it reached USCIS Texas Center on Sat Nov 29th, 08. I tracked my mail through USPS website.
My Case status was changed from RFE to Response to RFE received on Wednesday Dec 3rd, 08.

Thank you for all your support. Quick update. Our video now has 1439 viewings, 132 ratings and 38 comments (as at 4:15pm EDT 7/9). This has resulted in us having the #32 top rated video of the week in News and Politics. Your support has been wonderful and thank you for your positive comments.
We have looked at a large number of the other videos in the competition and we certainly have a much higher rating and viewings than any of the videos other than the ones posted in the first week of the competition. Sadly we dont want to monitor them as every time we check their score it rates as another viewing for them :p
We remain hopeful that our moderate position on a difficult topic may give us an edge but who knows. My son is dying to pose a supplementary to the video question about the byzantine process we all have to endure.

I entered last year on Sept 2nd when my stamp was going to expire on Sept 30th, but I had my I797 with me. The officer asked me whether I was aware that my stamp is going to expire at end of September, I said yes I am aware. He then asked me for my I797 which clearly showed my H1 is valid until 2010. After about half an hour he let me through.

Read the Yates memo...After 180 days of I485 pending, the employer's revocation of I140 has not effect on the GC application. But I know a few cases where this was an issue, so make sure you are armed with proof like pay stubs, employment letter et al.

How there could be demand for visa numbers for EB2 India between the years 2000 & 2002. The possible sources of such visa number demand would be from BEC or LC substitution. Both require filing a new I-140 recently, which most likely would not have been approved yet. Are visa numbers alloted even before I-140 is approved??
Unless there were some real unlucky ones with PD earlier than 2002 that got through 'namecheck' just recently.

I was in a similar but totally different situation. I wanted to use the experience as a Grad. Assistant for my I-140 stage. The problem was, my professor was no longer with the University. My lawyer suggested that I obtain a letter from the professor on a plain paper and make sure that it is notarized. The letter had his address and cell phone number and "Formerly, Asst. Professor at xxx Iniv".
There was no issue with the I-140 approval.

"Pending adjustment of status petition. Lengthy adjustment and the need to visit family from time to time."
I self filed for AP for my spouse and myself and we got it approved without any problem.

From an old time NIkon user with of all cameras the N70 (sort of ironic). I currently own a canon dig camera (s50) and I have found the need for a better optical zoom range, and stronger flash.
Almost bought the new canon rebel, but since I own some nikon equipment, and heard about d70, I held off.
So, the questions:;;
1) Will I be able to use my Nikon AF Nikkor 35-80mm lens?
2) How about my Sigma 70-300mm apo macro for nikon?
3) I also have sb26 nikon flash?
Are these all usable? WIll I be giving up functionality with these lenses or flash? Obviously, I'm more willing to spend 1k on the camera if I can utilize my current investment in my lenses and flash.
