OS9... hhehehe, Even apple was trying to replace mac classic as early as 93. os9 was a terribly outdated OS for it's time. Man, thank god for steve and osx.

What are you talking about? The first link gives an overview. The last link goes into great technical detail. You have to click the links and read more than just the first page.
read that too. but i think i have found something more at the developers page now.

Yea sent it in as bug ... may not be isolated to 10.7, as other threads have come up in the past month since iOS 4.3.1 and iTunes 10.2.1

You'll find out at WWDC what the final version will be.
I doubt it, WWDC is likely to be devoted to iPhone 5 with iOS 5. Apple is likely to do a small special media event for Lion like the Lion Preview event last year.

I think I saw that house in a documentary somewheres - sort of ugly and nothing at all special... who cares?

Can anyone help me with two questions:
1) Has the software update feature for Firefox ever work in identifying that there is a new version of FF itself out? I get updates to themes and extensions, but never FF. PR didn't find 1.0 when I clicked the prefs check for updates, and 1.0 didn't find 1.0.1, and now 1.0.1 didn't find 1.0.2. In the previous two cases, this was true even a couple weeks after the release of the new version (months for a lab PC using PR 0.8 that I hadn't been using for a while). So I figure that for some reason, the feature just doesn't work for me, in spite of the fact that there is an option checked right there, to look for FF updates.
2) Since search plug-ins are stored inside the contents of Firefox, what do people do in order to avoid having to re-install all their search plug-ins? Archive the directory and restore it? Or is there an easier way?
1) I don't believe so.
2) I just uninstall and reinstall the new version of Firefox. I haven't noticed that I lose anything, bookmarks, extensions, or plugins.
Oh, and I'm on a Windows  machine. I don't know if that makes a difference.
Hope this helps you out.

I'm going to be buying this iMac, with a HD and SSD together. However, am a bit confused on how the HD and SSD works together:
1) Do they appear as one drive in the finder?
2) If you download an app, then install it; will the downloaded *zip* (saved in "Downloads") be stored in the HD, and the app installed on the SSD (obviously saved in "Applications"), automatically?

Maybe colorful pants just look bad... :p
And don't go for those matching shirt and pants outfits - that might even be worse....but part of your observation might have something with the fact that fashion seems to want to stress the face and not the lower half. It might be a double standard since there are plenty of flashy womens' pants and such.....

The only thing i would worry about is if Nintendo pulls a M$ and when/if they release online games that they won't let you online because you modified your hardware.
I know nothing about Wii modchips, but can't you just disable the chip when you want to play online? That's how the chip in my PS2 works.

We should all post pictures of ourselves so that when we respond to posts people can picture us in their heads. Ill post mine as soon as I'm out of class in an hour! Can't attach files from my iPad since their is no damn filesystem. :)

Thanks. Though it is quite cumbersome compared to the keyboard shortcuts to take screenshots (http://guides.macrumors.com/Taking_Screenshots_in_Mac_OS_X).
I never knew that. Command+Shift+4 will save me so much time, thanks.

You can get the Denision unit without the dock too, just the cable. Same price either way though.
Did a search, but couldn't find any sites in the U.S. selling it....know where one could get it?

One of my friends had a used one for awhile. They're actually quite terrible, lol. I think they were released in 1996 in the U.S. and fewer than 50,000 units sold. Only 18 games were released.
The worst part was that "Apple Jack" controller. Worst. Idea. Ever.

roland.g,
It's not an unreasonable suggestion. The need for an iOS subforum depends in part on the quantity of IOS-themed threads we routinely have, other than those in the News forums and the programming forums. Can you point out more than a few currently active threads that fall into this category? I haven't spotted many.

Very nice, and tastefully done. Forget about the naked aspect, the pose, the look on her face, the angle of her head. I feel more compelled to look at the head up more than anything else. And I don't find anything pornograhpic about it. It isn't revealing, less so than a tight low cut top. Good job. Gets my vote. The only thing that is missing is a spot of color. The bed frame doesn't count. Though I don't know what or where to put it. And possibly black and white would be better as the bed frame is out of sorts color wise.

2)Serial Number
Original:
As I say before, 3 companies make adapters for Apple. Delta/Liteon/Samsung.
Serial Number like this: MV9200G9J81WA
MV stands for Delta, 9 means 20 means 20weeks. This one is made by Delta in May, 2009.
ZZ stands for Liteon, Samsung with R start.
These may change in future, and I dont know the meaning of 0G9J81WA, if somebody knows pls tell me.
Conside manufacturers name is showed on case, you could check whether serial no. is the same with manufacturer. And choose the date in 2010 would be better than 2008.
Someone make high-copy serial no. please dont choose adapters only accord to it.

I'm trying to fix 5 year old Macbook for some one .The problem is hard-drive space used up but the person has very little pictures ,music and work on the computer.
Some how only 7GB free of the 80GB hard-drive.
There is a similar thread http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=672477
Thread never got resolved.
well normally when I'm trying fix the same problem on PC running windows it is do to.
1.Bad sector
2.swap file /page file
3.hidden OS system support files
4.malware
5.windows files to keep OS running and windows needs lots of files and I mean lots, lots and lots of files!!!
But do not have that much experience here. What could the problem be.
